Auto insurance “gap in coverage”?
Question by sandynlily: Auto insurance “gap in coverage”?
I have been warned in the past that a “gap in coverage” is a bad thing
Is it bad to have a gap in coverage for a period of time?
Is it considered a gap in coverage if you have seperate policies from the same insurance provider for your car and motorcycle and you decide to take one policy off for a few months only to put it back on later?

That’s a “lapse in coverage” and it’s a big red flag to insurance companies and can make your premiums go sky-high.
